Mainly clear skies prevailed in the national capital today even as foggy conditions in the morning hours delayed a few flights and 45 north-bound trains while 24 others were rescheduled.
There were some minor delays in flight operations because of the weather but there was no cancellation or diversion due to visibility, said an airport official.
The visibility was recorded at 450 metres at 5.30 AM at Safdarjung which after three hours reduced to 150 metres before significantly improving to 1,400 metres at 11.30 AM.
At Palam, the visibility was 50 metres at 5.30 AM and was recorded below 50 meters at 8.30 AM. It improved to 800 metres at 11.30 AM, said a MeT department official.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 8.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, while the maximum temperature settled at 23.2 degrees Celsius, a notch above season's average.
The humidity oscillated between 100 and 45 per cent. The MeT office has predicted partly cloudy skies for tomorrow with the likelihood of moderate to dense fog in the morning.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 22 and 8 degrees Celsius, respectively," said the weatherman.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.3 degrees and 9.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
