Traders said increased offtake by consuming industries against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up maize and bajra prices.
In the national capital, maize shot up by Rs 40 to Rs 1,660-1,665 per quintal. Bajra also edged up to Rs 1,430-1,435 from previous level of Rs 1,420-1,430 per quintal.
