Maize eases on adequate supply
Press Trust of India New Delhi In a restricted activity, maize prices drifted by Rs 25 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today amid sufficient stocks against reduced offtake by consuming industries.
However, other grains including wheat and rice basmati held steady in limited deals.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against adequate stocks position mainly influenced maize prices.
In the national capital, maize declined by Rs 25 to Rs 1,275-1,300 per quintal.
