Elsewhere, other grains including wheat and rice continued to trade at previous levels on some support.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against adequate supplies from producing belts mainly kept led to the decline in maize prices.
In the capital, maize prices moved down by Rs 50 to Rs 1,500-1,505 per quintal.
