Price of maize would be stable during the harvest period of March-April, an econometric analysis carried out by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) has forecast.
The price of maize would rule around Rs 1,350-Rs 1,400 per quintal and based on this, farmers in the state could take their sowing decision, a TNAU release said here today.
Perambalur, Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Tuticorin and Salem are the major maize producing districts in the state.
Even though there was less export demand, domestic demand would support the price to stabilise during harvest period, it said.
