Maize rises on increased offtake

In restricted activity, maize prices rose by Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today due to increased offtake by consuming industries.
However, other grains moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders attributed the rise in maize prices to increased demand from consuming industries against limited arrivals from producing belts.
In the national capital, maize moved up by Rs 15 to Rs 1,420-1,425 per quintal.
