Maize rises on pick up in demand
Press Trust of India New Delhi In thin trading, maize prices rose by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on pick-up in demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions.
However, other grains held steady in thin trade.
Traders said improved demand from retailers amid restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly helped maize prices to edge higher.
In the national capital, maize traded higher by Rs 10 Rs 1,210-1,220 per quintal.
