In a major bureaucratic reshuffle ahead of upcoming assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, as many as 21 IAS officers, including three collectors, have been shifted in the state.
The order in this regard was issued by the Mantralaya last evening.
As per the order, the 1989-batch IAS officer Amitabh Jain, presently posted as Principal Secretary of Finance and Commercial Taxes Department with the additional charge of planning, economics, statistics, home, jail and transport departments, has been relived from the charge of commercial tax.
Kanker Collector Taman Singh Sonwani has been appointed as new Surguja Divisional Commissioner. He will be replaced byDirector Health & Family Welfare Ranu Sahu.
Surguja divisional commissionerAvinash Champawat has been made Secretary of Water Resources Department.
Bastar Collector and 2004-batch IAS officer Dhananjay Dewangan has been appointed as new Bastar Divisional Commissioner while Bijapur Collector Tamboli Ayyaz Fakirbhai was posted as Bastar collector.
