Over a dozen fire tenders from Ghaziabad, Meerut, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur and Hindon Air Force station were pressed into service to douse the flames, they added.
Some persons were reportedly injured in the fire, as over 60 persons were working inside the factory when the fire started, sources said.
Senior district officials, including District Magistrate Aparna Upadhaya, Senior Superintendent of Police (Ghaziabad) Prashant Kumar and SP City Shivshankar Yadav, had also reached the spot.
"The cause of the fire is yet to be known. The matter is being probed," Yadav said.
The company management has claimed that the factory was equipped with fire-proof arrangements and will investigate into what started the fire.
Goods worth crores of rupees is feared to have been destroyed in the inferno, they said.
