"Government has been consistently taking important decisions on various issues for the past 10 years, but the Parliament has barely functioned," Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari said when asked about opposition charges that there was 'policy paralysis' in the government.
Asked whether government was considering a ban on opinion polls, he said the issue is related to the Representation of the People Act and there was a proposal to amend this law.
However, any decision on opinion polls would be made known only when such a proposal was adopted, he said.
