"Bringing industries and getting necessary permission from the Central government under Narendra Modi's guidance will be my prime goal. This will help reduce unemployment from the area," Khanna, who is fighting poll battle against PPCC chief and Congress nominee Bajwa from Gurdaspur seat said.
"During my tenure as an MP previously, I have worked on transportation and infrastructure, hotel management college, hospitals and much more, and I promise to develop the constituency, so that no one needs to go out for jobs," he said while on his campaign trail here.
Meanwhile, Bajwa has called upon Khanna to explain his stand on the Sikh farmers settled in Kutch area of Gujarat who were facing eviction threat.
Addressing public meetings, Bajwa said Gujarat Chief Minister and NDA's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi had failed to come to the rescue of these beleaguered farmers who turned their waste lands into green through hard labour during the last about 50 years.

The issue was the withdrawal of special leave petition filed by the Gujarat government from the apex court but Modi had maintained an intriguing silence on this basic point, he said.
The PPCC chief said this action of the Gujarat government reinforced the perception of Modi being anti-minority.
Khanna had lost the last Lok Sabha battle against Bajwa in 2009 by a margin of 8,342 votes and has been MP on BJP ticket in 1998, 1999 and 2004.
