Major rejig in J&K civil administration

The Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today ordered transfer of several senior officials of the civil administration, including IAS officers of Secretary rank.
The State Advisory Council (SAC) which met here today under the chairmanship of the Governor, approved several transfers and postings in the civil administration, an official spokesman said.
Dr Arun Kumar, vice-chairman and DG, IMPA shall hold the charge of chairman, J&K Special Tribunal, in addition to his own duties, till further orders.
Pramod Kumar Jain, chairman, J&K Special Tribunal has been transferred and posted as Financial Commissioner, Revenue, relieving R K Goyal, Principal Secretary in the Home department, of the additional charge.

Sandeep Kumar Nayak, Principal Secretary, Relief & Rehabilitation department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Tourism department, relieving Farooq Ahmed Shah, Managing Director, J&K Tourism development corporation, of the additional charge.
Vinod Kaul, Commissioner and Secretary, ARI, Trainings and Stationery & Office Supplies, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Secretary, Animal and Sheep Husbandryand Science & Technology Departments, relieving Shailender Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary, Industries & Commerce, of the additional charge.

Mohammad Afzal Bhat, Secretary, Revenue department, shall hold additional charge of the post of Administrative Secretary, Relief and Rehabilitation department, till further orders, the spokeseperson said.

Anal Gupta, Managing Director, J&K Handlooms Development Corporation, has been recalled from deputation and posted as Secretary, ARI, Trainings and Stationery & Office supplies Departments.
Baseer Ahmed Khan, Commissioner, Commercial Taxes, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Cooperatives department.
R K Bhagat, Secretary in the Industries & Commerce department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Transport department.
Hilal Ahmed Parray, Secretary Cooperative department, has been posted as Commissioner, Commercial Taxes.
Kifayat Hussain Rizvi, Secretary, Transport department will be the new Managing Director, State Power Development Corporation, relieving Dheeraj Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary, Power Development Department, of the additional charge.

Basharat Saleem, Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Member, J&K Special Tribunal at Jammu.
Salma Hamid, awaiting posting, will be Member, J&K Special Tribunal at Srinagar.
Besides the IAS officers, the Governor has also approved the transfers of several Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) officials, the spokesman added.
