Addressing a gathering at a function organised by JP Vichar Mangh to mark oknayak Jaiprakash Narayan's birth anniversary here last night, Sinha said the prevailing situation in Jharkhand is more terrible than what it was before its creation in 2000.
Sinha urged the people of Jharkhand to install a full majority government in Jharkhand like they did it in the last parliamentary polls as a strong leadership with a full majority government can wash away all the bad names the mineral-rich state had earned during the last 14 years and put it back on the path of development.
Appreciating Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat and Adarsh Gaon (Ideal village) campaign, Sinha said, "world leaders are recognising India today because of the majority government headed by strong leader Modi and his innovative ideas.
"If we succeed in providing basic infrastructure such as road, electricity, education, health in any such village, the village should be called a Kranti Gram and if we succeed to eradicate all social evils such as casteism, superstitions, dowry system, it should be called a Sampurna Kranti Gram, he said.
The former Union Finance Minister said he and cine star-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who was also present on the occasion, were inspired by Jaiprakash Narayan and had joined politics only because of him.
