"The government's 'Make in India' bogey projected to boost production and export is nothing but a deceptive fraud because their real agenda is to allow multinationals in small and medium industries with a call to come and make profit in India, resulting in de-industrialisation of our country", a resolution at the ongoing 22nd national congress of CPI said.
The policies of NDA government were increasingly hostile to peoples' interests and landed the economy in a further crisis,it said, adding their last two budgets showed "the commitment to open up our economy to unrestricted foreign investment even in core sectors like defence, railway, banks, insurance and retail sector".
Dubbing these economic policies as having an adverse impact on unemployment problem, it said they had resulted in accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few at the cost of the deprivation and degradation of the poor.
