Yadav said the lone target of the party at this stage should be to help win maximum seats so that SP on its strength emerges as a "decisive force" at the Centre.
"With SP becoming strong at the Centre and having its government there, development of the state would also be speeded up," he said.
Yadav asked the party workers to make people aware of the differences between the working of the present state government and the previous BSP government.
The former chief minister asked the workers to fully dedicate themselves in ensuring victory of maximum party nominees in the next general elections.
"Workers should propagate the difference between the working of the SP government with its predecessor BSP, and work for ensuring the victory of candidates already announced for the Lok Sabha polls by sinking all their differences," Yadav said while addressing workers at the party headquarters here.
Attacking the previous BSP government the former defence minister said, "During the BSP rule, the problems of people were not heard. Government funds meant for welfare works used to find its way into the pockets of ministers and MLAs and they all in turn became rich."
