Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken today slammed the Centre for stalling House proceedings and said the government is not letting the party Vice President Rahul Gandhi speak on demonetisation issue.
"Modi government is not allowing Parliament to function, fearing that it would have no answer if Rahul Gandhi speaks on the faulty implementation of demonetisation," Maken said in a statement.
People have to stand in queue before banks and ATMs for 2-3 hours to withdraw their own money and even then they are not sure of getting even Rs 500, he said.
"Faulty implementation of demonetisation by the Modi government has shaken people's faith in our currency and the banking system," said the Congress president, adding labourers from other states are going back to their homes after losing their jobs post demonetisation move by the Centre.
