"An officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police be appointed to enquire into the incident," Chief Judicial Magistrate Indranil Chatterjee said adding that "the court would draw the attention of Calcutta High Court in this regard".
The court directed Superintendent of Police Alok Rajoria to suspend investigating officer Dhrubajyoti Datta and immediately remove office in-charge (OC) Parui police station Kartik Mohan Ghosh from his post.
Jinna is accused of involvement in Trinamool-BJP turf war at Makra village which had claimed three lives on Monday.
DSP Samit Chatterjee, who represented the SP, also submitted before the court that it was a mistake on the part of the policemen.

"It is overall very unfortunate not only for the accused but also for the court," the judge said.
Jinna was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the Makra violence and was produced before the court, which remanded him to five days police custody on Wednesday.
The CJM questioned the officers how Jinna, who was in police custody since Wednesday, could be arrested from his house yesterday.
