"Both India and Malaysia have agreed in principle that trade in investment and services will commence between the two countries", minister counselor (economic) of the High Commission Aida Shafinaz Alias said at a CII session here today.
She said that in spite of that, the trade in these two items had not started.
Alias said there could be issues between India and other ASEAN nations due to which this was not happening.
She also said there were various tariff and non-tariff barriers which were hindering trade with India.
