Malka moves up on local demand

Barring a rise in malka prices on increased local demand, rest other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.
Traders said pick-up in local demand against limited arrivals from producing regions mainly helped malka prices to trade higher.
In the national capital, malka local and best quality moved up by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,400-5,700 and Rs 5,600-5,700 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's pulses rates per quintal:
Urad 4,500-4,900, Urad Chilka (local) 5,650-5,850, best 5,900-6,500, Dhoya 6,150-6,550, Moong 6,300-7,500, Dal Moong Chilka local 7,400-7,800, Moong Dhoya local 7,300-7,500 and best quality 8,000-8,100.
Masoor small 4,900-5,150, bold 5,100-5,200, Dal Masoor local 5,750-5,850, best quality 5,850-5,950, Malka local 5,400-5,700, best 5,600-5,700, Moth 4,800-5,100, Arhar 4,350-4,450, Dal Arhar Dara 5,900-6,100.
