Malka prices rise on rising demand

Malka prices moved up by Rs 100 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today owing to pick up in demand from retailers.
However, other pulses continued to trade at previous levels on scattered demand.
Traders said pick up in demand from retailers amidst lower arrivals from producing belts, led to the rise in malka prices.
In the national capital, malka local and best quality prices were up by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,300-6,600 and Rs 6,500-6,600 per quintal respectively.
Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
Urad 5,400-6,200, Urad Chilka (local) 6,900-7,100, best 7,100-7,700, Dhoya 7,500-7,900, Moong 5,900-6,900, Dal Moong Chilka local 6,800-7,300, Moong Dhoya local 6,800-7,100 and best quality 7,600-7,700.

Masoor small 5,600-5,900, bold 5,600-5,950, Dal Masoor local 6,700-6,800, best quality 6,800-6,900, Malka local 6,300-6,600, best 6,500-6,600, Moth 4,800-5,100, Arhar 4,850- 5,150, Dal Arhar Dara 6,250-6,550.
Gram 2,850-3,750, Gram Dal (local) 3,600-3,800, best quality 3,700-3,800, Besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,400, Rajdhani 1,400, Rajmah Chitra 4,175-7,775, Kabli Gram small 3,500- 6,300, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,700-5,100, Lobia 4,800- 5,200, Peas white 3,050-3,100 and green 3,000-3,100.
