She also attacked BJP's prime ministerial candidate for his remark that Bangladeshi immigrants would be sent packing after the Lok Sabha elections and slammed him for terming as refugees those who have come from that country and got citizenship here.
"Instead of raising voice against the neglect by Centre for Bengal, they are talking of driving Bengalis away... Some parties are inciting violence between communities. This is the nadir of politics," Banerjee told an election meeting here in North 24 Parganas district.
"Those who have come here from Bangladesh and got citizenship they are being called refugees ... Comrade Modibabu you do not know who is called refugee," the Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief said.
"Saying that you will send them with bag and baggages to Bangladesh. Such audacity. Let one be touched and see. They do not not know me."

Citing example of people from Assam coming to the state after violence in that state, she said "I will keep them, I will provide them food and clothes and allow them to stay as long they want."
Targeting BJP Prime Ministerial candidate, she said "He is nobody. Do not forget that you are Chief Minister of a state which is smaller than West Bengal. You have 28 MPs. We have 42."
Banerjee said "I am in politics for long. Everyone is equal to me, she said underlining that Gujaratis, Punjabis and Biharis lived in West Bengal.
"Learn from Bengal. Have you ever made a Bengali MP or MLA in your state? I have made Dinesh Trivedi (former railway minister) a party MP, she said.
"BJP can never become a banyan tree. They are not inclusive," she said.
She also alleged that the BJP was spending an 'unimaginable amount of money to create a gas balloon'.
