The CPI(M) today alleged that Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee was getting close to Gandhian activist Anna Hazare in order to set up an indirect link with the BJP.
"She is going to BJP through Anna Hazare," CPI(M) central committee leader Md Salim said here today on the sidelines of launch of a magazine "Project Management Today" by Digitech-HR.
Banerjee expected BJP to gain substantially in the upcoming Lok Sabha election and the meeting was a precursor to offering her support to the BJP to meet the possible gap to reach the magic number, Salim alleged.
Making a jibe at the Mamata-Anna meeting, he said that all Anna has to do is to come to Bengal to understand how deep Trinamool Congress is into corruption, a prime example of which is the chit fund scam.
