Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today alleged that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was giving the Burdwan blast incident a political colour.
"She is finding it difficult to face the CBI in connection with the Saradha scam and trying to give it (Burdwan blast incident) a political colour," the Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas said.
He was expressing his views at a press conference referring to Banerjee's charge that the Centre had "stage managed" the blast incident.
"Where does the BJP stand in the entire episode?" he asked, stating that the investigation into the incident began on the report of the IB.
Besides, the incident had taken place under her watch, he said.
"Why is Banerjee so worried when she did nothing wrong?" Pradhan expressed surprise.
"Their (TMC) MPs and leaders are accused of being involved in the scam unearthed during her regime," Pradhan pointed out, saying investigations were on even in Odisha and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's aide had also been grilled.
