Mamata greets industrialists in annual meet

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today met leading city-based industrialists and entrepreneurs in an annual get-together held after the Durga Puja festival.
Prominent industrialists who attended the meet were Sanjiv Goenka of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, Harsh Neotia of Ambuja Neotia, Jyotsna Suri (wife is late Lalit Suri), Y K Modi of Great Eastern Energy, Sanjay Budhia, R S Goenka of Emami among others.
State industry and finance minister Amit Mitra said that it was a great opportunity to meet the industrialists.
He said that the government would organise a conference on January seven and eight where industrialists and entrepreneurs would attend and the attempt would be to take the state to new heights.

Other ministers who attended the meet were housing minister Arup Biswas, power minister Manish Gupta, panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee and urban development minister Firhad Hakim.
Foreign consular corps were also present along with home secretary, chief secretary and city police commissioner.
Goenka said that he would like a "humble role" in the state's industrialisation drive.
