"We are happy that the Novotel brand has come to the city which will help in boosting its image," Banerjee said at the inauguration ceremony here today.
Developed by the Salarpuria Group, the Novotel brand is owned by France-based Accor Group which would manage and run the hotel.
With 347 guest rooms and 48 serviced apartments, this would be the first-of-its-kind five-star facility in the city, Jean-Michael Casse, senior VP (India operations) of Accor Group, said.
He said that this would be Accor's 28th hotel in India and the first one in the city spread across its various brands like Sofitel, Ibis and many more.
