Mamata on 3-day visit to Bangladesh

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who will pay a three-day visit to Bangladesh from February 19, today said she would meet President and the Premier of that country.
"I will meet President MD Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," Banerjee told reporters at the state secretariat 'Nabanna' without mentioning the issues she would be discussing with them.
Banerjee said her visit at the invitation of Bangladesh government would strengthen the ties between Bangladesh and West Bengal.
"This visit will strengthen the ties between Bangladesh and West Bengal", she said.
"There should be stronger cultural ties between the two Bengals. Hope this trip will make our bond stronger", she said.
Banerjee expressed hope that the business delegation which would accompany her would further enhance the trade links as well as other exchanges between West Bengal and Bangladesh.
She said a team from state's Information and Cultural Affairs department would also accompany her.
