BJP National Secretary Sidharth Nath Singh told reporters that the minority wing leaders of Trinamool Congress were allegedly targeting Hindus, especially in six districts where BJP has shown growth, and said BJP will send a delegation of MPs there to look into the incident.
The state unit has also been asked to move NHRC over it.
"Hindus are being targeted by the minority wing... For over six days this dance of communalism is happening in Dhulagarh in Howrah district. You (Mamata) have not said anything. She must break her silence," he said.
He also referred to a fatwa issued by Shahi Imam of Kolkata's Tipu Sultan Masjid Syed Mohammad Nurur Rahman Barkati in which a call to stone state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh to death was allegedly given.
