West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be leaving for New Delhi tomorrow to attend a meeting of the national committee set up to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary.
The meeting of the national committee will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chief ministers of almost all states, besides, representatives from across the political spectrums have been invited for Wednesday's meeting to plan for the grand Gandhi Jayanti next year.
But it is not clear whether Banerjee, who has been voicing protests over the BJP-ruled central government's policies and stressing on the formation of a federal front against the saffron party before the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, will hold any meeting with other chief ministers.
Banerjee is likely to return to the city on Thursday.
