Man accidentally shoots self as bullet bounces off armadillo

In a freak incident, a man in Texas landed in the hospital after being hit in the head by a ricocheting bullet he had aimed at an armadillo.
Cass County officials said the man suffered a graze to the head after he fired at the heavily-armoured creature on his property and the bullet ricocheted off and hit him.
The man was taken from his home in the Marietta area to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries on Thursday, the 'Metro' newspaper reported.
It is not known whether the armadillo has survived.
This is not the first incident where an armadillo bullet deflection has caused injury to a human.

In April, a man in Georgia injured his mother-in-law when a bullet ricocheted off an armadillo, hit a fence, went through the back door of his mother-in-law's mobile home, through a recliner she was sitting in, and into her back.
