Man accuses wife's father, brothers of her kidnap

A case of kidnapping has been filed here against the family members of a woman, who was staying with her husband after their love marriage, police said today.
The complaint has been lodged at SGM Nagar.
The woman's husband has accused her father, uncle and brothers of kidnapping and assault, a police official said.
The man and the woman, both belonging to Tigaanv village, had got married in 2011 against the wishes of their family and the locals, the official said.
The couple has a 5-year-old child as well and was residing in a rented house in NIT-5 area of the district.

The man said he taken his wife to meet her sister at BK Square on May 1 where her father, uncle and brothers also reached there in a car accompanied by four-five motorcycles.
"They assaulted me and abducted her (his wife)," the official said quoting the complaint.
Subhash Singh, the station house officer of SGM Nagar police station, said the woman as well her family members are untraceable and police is making efforts to find them soon.
