Man arrested at Bhopal airport for carrying cartridges

A 44-year-old man was today arrested from the Raja Bhoj Airport here after cartridges were seized from his luggage, police said.
Syed Saif Ali, a resident of Civil Lines in Shamla Hills here, was scheduled to catch a flight to Mumbai when he was suspected of carrying cartridges by airport officials while scanning of his luggage.
The officials informed the police who searched his luggage and seized 30 cartridges of .22 bore rifle, 11 of them live, said inspector Jitendra Patel.
A case under Arms Act was registered against Ali. He would be produced in the court tomorrow.
