A complaint was lodged by the victim's father yesterday, Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat said.
The woman alleged that her daughter was raped when she was returning home from the Kulwanta market at 4 pm on September 19, he said.
A team of the Ramnagar police station led by Station House Officer (SHO) Sanjay Raina arrested the accused, the officer said.
The SSP said that an FIR has been registered against the accused, who is married.
