Goa police have arrested a person for putting up a hoarding of AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal without taking permissions and thus violating the model code of conduct.
Quepem police in South Goa yesterday arrested Kedar Sinai Singbal who was displaying a moving flex-board mounted on a hydraulic jack, featuring Kejriwal and the party's state convener Elvis Gomes.
A flying squad of Election Commission had filed a complaint in this regard, police said.
"The accused was displaying the hoarding without taking permissions from the competent authority which amounts to violation of code of conduct," a police release said today.
Model code of conduct has come into force in the state as Assembly elections would be held on February 4.
