Man arrested for groping, beating up woman in UP

A person was today arrested for allegedly groping and then beating up a woman and her husband at a market in Kisni here, police said.
"Anand Kumar was arrested on the day of the incident, December 19, and Kuldeep was arrested today and sent to judicial custody," SP Sunil Kumar Saxena said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab Ajay, the third accused.
Following a video of the incident going viral on social media, political parties for the past four-days have been mounting pressure on the police to arrest the accused.
"The police station in-charge concerned has been sent to the Police Lines for taking the issue lightly," the SP said.

The woman in her statement to the Magistrate alleged she was groped by a group of men when she sought their help to finding an address, police said.
The couple was beaten up after her husband opposed the act. They both sustained injuries, they said, adding the victim had been sent for medical examination.
The accused have been booked under relevant sections of the IPC, including assault on woman and voluntarily causing hurt, police said.
