The accused identified as Rayappan entered the house of the victim yesterday, when her mother was out for some work, and raped her, police said.
He posed himself as a close relative to the victim (29) last night.
Based on the complaint by the mother at All Women Police station, Rayappan was arrested, they said, adding further investigations were on.
