Man arrested for robbing milk supplier in south Delhi

A 21-year-old man was arrested from Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday for allegedly robbing a businessman of Rs 8 lakh at gun point in south Delhi's Maidan Garhi area last month, police said.

The accused has been identified as Amreesh, 21, a resident of Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. He was previously involved in a POCSO case registered at the Fatehpur Beri police station, they said.

On July 8, a milk supplier lodged a complaint that he was going to bank to deposit money when three unknown people robbed him of Rs 8 lakh at gun point.

The police had arrested two men earlier, however, the main accused was absconding.

The police conducted raids at Hapur, Pratap Nagar, Meerut, Rachholi, Kithore, Alamnagar, Garh Mukteshwar to nab him, a senior officer said, adding he was arrested from Dasna in Ghaziabad.
