Man arrested; Teak wood, deer horns recovered

Lakhveer Singh, residing in Nainiha village of Motipur range under the sanctuary, was arrested in a raid conducted by a joint team of police and forest department yesterday, Divisional Forest Officer R K Singh said.

Four deer horns, peacock feathers, large quantity of teak wood and equipment used to cut trees were recovered from the accused, he said.

Singh allegedly used to perform exorcism by taking villagers into confidence, the official added.
