According to a complaint filed by brother-in-law Sonu, victim Ashok was alone at his home yesterday when two persons, Rajesh and Vikas allegedly entered his home and beat him up, they said.
The duo later also beat up his wife after she had returned home from work, the complaint said.
Ashok was later taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.
An FIR has been lodged against the two persons in this connection, they said.
