Man buried alive while excavating bricks from old well

A 40-year-old man was buried alive while excavating bricks from an old well at Chuharchak village in the district, police said here today.
The incident happened yesterday when the victim, Amrik Singh, along with two other persons was excavating bricks from an old well.
While the two other were standing outside, Singh was trapped in the process which led to his death, they said.
The body was recovered this morning after an overnight rescue operation.
Three earth moving machines were pressed into service by the administration, police said.
