Man carrying gold in rectum held at airport

One person was arrested in the city airport today for allegedly trying to smuggle gold into India by carrying it in his rectum, the police said.
Syed Md Sajirullah, a resident of Chennai, landed at the NSCB International Airport from Dhaka last night.
During checking at the immigration, a scanner detected that he was carrying some metallic object inside his rectum, the police said.
He was detained and 600 gram gold, valued at Rs 16 lakh, came out of his body while he defecated this morning, after which he was arrested, the police said.
