Man chases two chain snatchers, catches one

In a display of courage, a 44-year-old man not just chased two motorcycle-borne youths who allegedly snatched his wife's gold chain but also caught one of them in west Delhi's Janakpuri area.
The snatched gold chain was recovered from one of the suspect while his accomplice managed to escape from the spot, a police official said today.
The incident took place on Wednesday when one Ram Swaroop Sharma, a businessman who lives in C-Block of west Delhi's Janakpuri area along with his family, was walking toward the nearby market with his wife Ritu around 9 PM.
"As Sharma was walking ahead of his wife suddenly heard her cry for help. As he turned back, he saw two men on a bike fleeing after snatching his wife's chain. He then chased the motorcycle for a few metres and pulled down the pillion rider," said a police official.

Locals soon gathered on the spot and the alleged snatcher was handed over to the police.
The accused was identified as Rajkumar Kohli and the chain was recovered from him.
"The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered against him. His associate has been identified and efforts are on to arrest him," he added.
