Man commits suicide as son objects to his drinking habits

A 60-year-old man committed suicide in Sukhpura police station area allegedly after his son had stopped him from consuming alcohol. An official said today.
Vir Bahadur Singh, who had gone to sleep in his room, hanged himself from the ceiling last night, superintendent of police Ania Ansari said.
Singh was a habitual drinker and his son had last night objected to his drinking habits, which allegedly drove him to take the extreme step, the SP added.
