The attack took place last night when the victims were sleeping in their house.
48-year-old Bijendra and his 20-year-old daughter Vaishali were killed in the attack while his 45-year-old wife Suman was seriously injured, SP, Shamli, AK Rai told reporters.
A case has been registered against unknown assailants and the bodies have been sent for postmortem.
The woman has been admitted to a hospital in a serious condition.
