Police were called to pop star Taylor Swift's apartment here after a "disturbed" man showed up at her doorstep.
The 26-year-old "Bad Blood" star was not home when the incident occurred, but her security team detained an unidentified man who was outside Swift's Tribeca neighbourhood abode.
According to TMZ, the guards called for backup and when police and fire department officials arrived to the scene, law enforcement sources say the man was "disoriented" as he was handcuffed and seemed to be "emotionally disturbed".
Cops searched the duffel bag the man had in tow, but it contained nothing suspicious. However, he was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
It is unclear whether he made any threats or gained access to Swift's home, and he has not been charged.
The incident marks the third time in three months a stranger has showed up at the pop star's home.
In February, police removed an overzealous fan from her Beverly Hills property.
The unidentified male, who had brought his guitar, was spotted loitering at the pad's front gates and when the singer's security guards asked the fan to move on, he claimed he was waiting for Swift as they had worked together in the past.
The Beverly Hills incident occurred 10 days after cops responded to a call regarding an unwanted visitor who showed up at another one of her homes in Los Angeles.
