Man detained under Goonda Act

: A 30-year-old man has been detained under the Goonda Act for allegedly creating over 3,000 pirated DVDs of latest Tamil and English movies, police said today.
Central Crime Branch, Anti-Piracy cell officials detained P Nirmal for allegedly creating pirated DVDs of the movies besides those with pornographic a police release said.
He was allegedly involved in supply of such pirated DVDs to various places in city. Police after interrogation seized 3,606 pirated DVDs, 12 DVD writing machines from his house at Madhavaram.
He was detained under the Goonda Act and lodged in Central Prison at Puzhal today, it said.
