The incident was reported around 6 PM today and police suspected that the man, who posed as a visitor to enter the high-security area, suffered from mental illness, said a senior police officer.
According to the police, the man walked in through the main entrance carrying an identity card and reached the reception, asking about a particular officer.
When the men at the reception informed him that they could not find the officer concerned, the man turned aggressive and smashed the glass pane on the table. He also threw a few chairs around.
When a PCR team reached the spot, the man told the policemen that he was bitten by a stray dog and needed to be taken to a doctor.
