The deceased has been identified as Raj Singh, headmaster of a primary school under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) at Swaroop Nagar in north-west Delhi, police said.
Police has retrieved empty alcohol bottles inside the deceased's Maruti Alto car and medical examination has revealed that he had suffered heart attack after consuming excessive amount of alcohol.
"Hospital authorities further informed that the deceased suffered from around 25 percent to 30 percent heart blockage," said a police official.
The incident came to light at 6.15 AM today when Singh's body was noticed by few locals in Shahbad Dairy area, near his residence.

The door of the car was locked from inside, police forced open the door and Singh was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police has ruled out the possibility of any foul play.
"Also there were no external injuries or any other evidence which can indicate external influences," the official added.
