Kuldeep Kumar, resident of Kishtwar, had gone to the forests in Dool area of the district yesterday but did not return, police said, adding that a police team was dispatched to locate him.
Kumar's body was recovered in the forest area, a police officer said.
A case has been registered and investigations are underway in the case, he further said.
