The man, identified as Sonu, bore several injury marks on his body which indicate assault on him before his death, they said.
Sonu, a father of one child, lived with his family in Muradnagar area. According to police, he was involved in an extramarital affair with a girl who lives in Kavinagar and often used to meet her.
"As per preliminary investigation, Sonu along with his friend Ravi had gone to meet the girl yesterday on a bike. When they reached B Block of Shastrinagar area, they were stopped by some youths who started thrashing Sonu.
