The court awarded the jail term to 26-year-old Ghanshyam after convicting him for the offences of murder, causing hurt and attempt to cause death while committing robbery, criminal conspiracy and receiving stolen property under the IPC.
"As mentioned above, convict has been found guilty of committing robbery and double murder at Niti Bagh here in conspiracy with the juvenile in conflict with law i.E. 'X'.
The court said Ghanshyam, a Bihar native, would serve two consecutive life terms for the double murder and thereafter he would undergo 10 years jail for causing hurt while committing robbery and one year jail for receiving stolen property.
62-year-old Ashok Goel and his 55-year-old wife Lata Goel were found murdered in their Niti Bagh house on May 26, 2008 while the place was ransacked, the police said.

It said Rs 1.25 lakh cash, gold and silver jewellery and mobile phone were some of the articles stolen by the accused.
When the police reached there, they broke open the locks and found that the couple was dead.
The couple's minor servant, employed few days before the incident, became a suspect as he was not found in the house.
During investigation, Ghanshyam's role cropped up and he told the police that he along with the juvenile and one Birju, who is absconding, were involved in the crime.
